We recently had the honour of being invited to the Estonian Presidential Palace by the President of Estonia, as part of a select delegation from The IndUS Entrepreneurs (TiE). It was a moment of pride, reflection, and learning for us as an AI product company and for anyone who believes in the power of innovation to transcend borders.
Estonia may be a small country in size, but in the world of technology and digital innovation, it punches far above its weight. With a population of just over a million, Estonia has managed to produce more unicorns per capita than any other country in the world. Global success stories like Wise (formerly TransferWise), Bolt, Veriff, and many others have emerged from this vibrant ecosystem, putting Estonia firmly on the world map as a digital powerhouse.
So, what makes Estonia special?
It’s not just the startups. It’s the mindset.
Estonia was one of the first countries to declare internet access a basic human right, and it has built one of the most advanced digital governance systems in the world. From e-residency to fully online public services, Estonia demonstrates what’s possible when innovation becomes national policy—and when an entire society rallies around technology as a force for progress.
A Lesson for AI Startups
As an AI product company, visiting Estonia was a powerful reminder that ambition doesn’t have to be limited by geography, size, or legacy. A small, determined group of innovators can truly change the game—provided they focus, collaborate, and move with purpose.

As two nations known for their entrepreneurial energy and tech talent, there is vast potential for building high-impact partnerships—especially in areas like AI, cybersecurity, fintech, and mobility.
